The West Nile Virus is caused by the bites of infected mosquitos.
4 D’s of Prevention
· Dusk/ Dawn : Mosquitos Active time- try to stay inside
· Dress: Wear light colored loose fitting long sleeved clothes, and closed toe shoes
· DEET: make sure your insect repellant contains DEET, and spray over clothes
· Drain Standing Water (Plant pots, rain gutters, old tires, and etc. are a mosquitos breeding ground)
BONUS:
· Try placing a Bounce fabric softener sheet in your pocket, some studies show that it can act as a bug repellant
